We don't have a classroom in Lahore. Every class is live, one-to-one on Zoom, so you can learn from home anywhere in the city.
If you're looking for a German language course in Lahore, our online classes take you from A1 to B1, with grammar explained in Urdu and mock exams in the Goethe format. You have 5 classes a week, 60–90 minutes each, and each level takes 6–8 weeks.
Where can I take an A1 exam in Lahore?
Lahore has two options for an A1 certificate that the German Embassy accepts for a spouse visa. The Goethe-Institut holds the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 exam in Lahore, and there is also a licensed ÖSD exam centre in the city.
The embassy accepts A1 certificates from the Goethe-Institut, ÖSD, telc and TestDaF in the same way, so having both Goethe and ÖSD in Lahore gives you a second option if Goethe seats are full. Compare them in Goethe, telc or ÖSD: which A1 certificate.
How does booking work?
Goethe A1 seats in Lahore are limited and go quickly on booking day. Booking is online on the Goethe-Institut Pakistan website, and you must pay within 24 hours or the booking is cancelled. We don't book exams for students; we explain the steps in how to book the Goethe A1 exam in Pakistan and make sure you're ready before booking day.
If you choose ÖSD instead, ask the Lahore centre which levels and dates it offers. Our mock exams follow the Goethe format, and the four skills tested at A1 are the same.

Is ÖSD accepted for the spouse visa?
Yes. The German Embassy in Islamabad accepts A1 certificates from the Goethe-Institut, ÖSD, telc and TestDaF. The certificate must be no older than one year on the day you apply.
How much does an online German course cost from Lahore?
PKR 60,000 per level (A1, A2 or B1). A1 + A2 costs PKR 110,000 and A1 to B1 costs PKR 130,000. The price is the same wherever you live in Pakistan.
